Implantology and endodontics expand

The new field of implantology is expanding rapidly, and the CHIROPRO is designed to meet these challenges. This multifunction table-top control module offering customisable programs controls instrument torque: a «must» when screwing the implant into the bone. The new MC3 brush motors allow very low speeds at maximum torque: most restorative operations can thus be performed with only one motor and two contra-angle handpieces. The motors at that time were in fact divided into three groups: the MC2 is reliable and economical, while the MC3 offers superior power. The brushless motor, finally, is dedicated to implantology and microsurgery. With the OPTIMA control unit, Bien-Air produces a novel concept: the use of an electric motor on an air-powered chair, thus giving silence and efficiency. The US market is very quickly won over by this avant-garde solution and, from then on, OPTIMA becomes available in several models for optimum response to practitioners' expectations. Bien-Air also innovates in the field of endodentics. This technique progresses rapidly with the advent of NiTi (nickel-titanium) rotary burs. A technological leap forward is made with the OPTIMA MX system, launched first in the US market. This system establishes new health and safety standards. Executed in tabletop and integratable versions, its control systems offer programs for each operating sequence. They control the revolutionary MX, the only dental micromotor that is fully sterilisable, and requiring almost no maintenance : a motor with quick-connect rotary coupling, which offers the broadest speed range in the market. New companies, Bien-Air Dental and Bien-Air Surgery, are set up in 2001 to meet the increasing demands in each field.
